It is an honor to receive this award. I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers for their hard work and guidance, as well as to the positive learning atmosphere in the classroom and the mutual encouragement from my classmates. During my study of biology, I actively sought out extracurricular knowledge, and whenever I encountered concepts I did not fully understand, I promptly referred to relevant materials or sought help from teachers and mentors to broaden my knowledge. In addition, I made an effort to cultivate an interest in biology by exploring related topics outside of class. The outcome of this learning is the best feedback I could receive. Moving forward, I will continue to work harder, maintaining an optimistic attitude as I immerse myself in the vast ocean of knowledge.

I am happy to have this prestigious award in this biology exam with 2 months of preparation. I would like to thank Mr Season, Mr Santosh, and Ms Sara for encouraging and teaching me to attend this competition. I think that I can work harder to achieve better results next time. I personally loved the learning experience of learning ourselves from the very most fundamental building block to calculating the chances of individuals getting diseases by just viewing their pedigree diagram. Internet resources such as studymind.com, savemyexams.com, and online media platforms played a major role in studying new knowledge in a short span of time. I do most certainly enjoy the fact that everything around us is interconnected like a huge, colorful web and learning how this web functions in a scientific manner is what surprises and awes me the most, every single time.

In order to cultivate students' interest in science and further improve their scientific literacy, our science team encourages students who are interested in science to actively participate in various international science competitions and scientific activities, and provides relevant pre-competition guidance for students. In this International Biology Olympiad (IBO), Vivian and Lorrie from G10 and Avaneesh from G9, after sufficient preparation in the early stage, won the global silver medal in the competition with their solid scientific foundation. Congratulations to them!

Vivian possesses a unique insight into learning, with a deep understanding and a personal approach to mastering knowledge. She has a remarkable ability to organize complex concepts and make them simple and easy to understand. Vivian also has an indomitable spirit, always putting in more effort than others. It is this perseverance that has helped her achieve outstanding results in this competition.

Lorrie is a very meticulous student, always able to identify the key points and details of knowledge, which reflects her deep understanding and keen insight into learning. This attentive approach to her studies has enabled her to stand out and achieve excellent results in the competition. At the same time, Lorrie has a rich foundation in science, which is the result of her consistent effort and relentless pursuit of knowledge. Her attention to detail and perseverance are key factors in her success.

Avaneesh’s ability to learn independently is truly impressive. Despite being only a 9th-grade student, he has managed to self-study a wide range of biology topics and achieve excellent results. This success can be attributed to his exceptional time management, research skills, and ability to summarize key concepts. I am confident that he will achieve even more remarkable results in future competitions.
